The Museum will be open Wednesday through Monday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the months of July and August 2010. On September 11th do not miss the Annual Town Wide Garage Sale. Touted as one of the largest in Alberta and the place to be, people from all over attend in hopes of finding great bargains at the numerous stalls in the downtown area, or at the large assortment of household sales located though out the community.
Gibbons Echo Glen Park is rich in history. You can walk the 2 km. walking trail (part of the Athabasca and TransCanada trail) that used to be the tracks of freight wagons that brought goods from Fort Edmonton to the Athabasca Landing in the late 1800’s. Visitors and residents can fish for trout in the stocked fish pond, enjoy a picnic in the park, or the natural park area while taking a walk. The Spray Park located in Poplar Park is great place for children and families to gather on a hot day.
