The Frank Slide Interpretive Centre sits on a bench above an awesome cascade of rock with breathtaking views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Visitors can experience a variety of interpretive programs, presentations and special events. Displays throughout the Centre feature the 1903 Frank Slide, the Canadian Pacific Railway, European settlement, early underground coal mining, and community life. Award-winning audio-visual presentations, In the Mountain’s Shadow, and the high definition production, On the Edge of Destruction – the Frank Slide Story, are shown daily. Pathways around the Centre provide spectacular views of the slide and surrounding area.
