Welcome to Bashaw on the “Boomtown Trail”. A small, vibrant town with a population of 868 people, Bashaw is situated at the junctions of Highways 21 & 53 and lies where the four counties of Camrose, Ponoka, Stettler and Lacombe converge.
Primarily an agricultural economy, Bashaw is a full service community. It offers a health care centre, physician, seniors housing and lodge, RCMP detachment, retail, K-12 school, library, ball diamonds, arena/curling rink and agricultural grounds. Bashaw is nestled in cottage country only minutes from the shores of Buffalo and Red Deer lakes. There is a major flyway so migratory bird hunting abounds as does big game and fishing. As well, Bashaw can boast two fine nine-hole golf courses in the immediate vicinity. So there is an abundance of recreational activities and organized sport for everyone to enjoy.
